China Secures ADB Aid for Water Initiative

The Asian Development Bank will lend USD200 million to help China control pollution in and expand potable water supply from the Songhua River Basin. Xinhua News Agency reported that the USD396.3 million project will help construct infrastructure and provide training in order to enhance water supply, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management in the area.

Rice Research Institute to Scale Up Food Production in South Asia

DFID Assists Violence Victims in Gaza

The U.K. Department for International Development will release GBP4 million (USD6 million) in humanitarian assistance to war-ravaged Gaza.
