The White House drafted two former U.S. presidents to take charge of a nationwide fund-raising drive to help the countries scourged by the Asian tsunami. U.S. President George W. Bush said both his father, George H. W. Bush, and Bill Clinton will, in the next few days, ask Americans to "donate directly to reliable charities already providing help to tsunami victims." He stressed further that it is the American public, and not the government, which is the "greatest source of America?s generosity." (Source: Ex-presidents launch private aid effort/CNN)
