Duties
The Media Officer provides important support to the Media Manager, who is the main AusAID contact for all media enquiries. The role is busy and challenging, and suits a communications professional with media experience, ideally in a government context. The role requires the ability to work with limited supervision in a high pressure and ever-changing environment.
Eligibility / Other Requirements
This is a security assessed role and you will be required to either have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance at Secret level.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Formal qualifications in public relations, marketing, journalism or similar are required.
The successful applicant must be able to work out of hours as needed, be on-call 24hours, and travel interstate and overseas at short notice if/as required.
