Project Summary

For fiscal 2009, the U.S. Agency for International Development will allocate about US$266.7 million to fund health and education programs in Zambia. Some US$260 million will go to health and US$6.7 million to education.

 

UPDATE, 08 January 2010: A USAID program officer confirmed that the actual budget for fiscal 2009 corresponds to the requested amount.

 

UPDATE, 15 January 2010: USAID has published a grants notice for a cooperative agreement on an HIV/AIDS initiative.  

 

UPDATE, 22 February 2010: USAID has published a grants notice for cooperative agreement on HIV prevention activities. The agency also announced that it plans to issue a request for proposal for a program on improved school effectiveness.
