Project Summary

For 2009-2010, the Australian Agency for International Development has earmarked AU$377.4 million (US$346 million) as part of its country program for Papua New Guinea. The funding will be used to support transport infrastructure, provide universal access to basic education, and improve health systems. It will also assist in policy development and efficient public service delivery. These are priority areas outlined in the PNG-Australia Partnership for Development.

UPDATE, 22 October 2009: AusAID already released a tender for the economic and public sector program.

UPDATE, 5 February 2010: The agency has announced a tender for the second phase of the Tingim Laip HIV/AIDS program.
