Job Description

WUSC is seeking a Director to lead the implementation of the “Displaced and Refugee youth Enabling Environment Mechanism (DREEM)“, a five-year project based in northern Kenya and funded by the MasterCard Foundation.

The DREEM Project Director will leverage WUSC’s track record in capacity building and deep expertise in East Africa and globally working on education, economic opportunities and empowerment programming with refugee and displaced youth as well as our work recognition and legitimacy in capacity building from refugee youth themselves, local partners, UNHCR, host governments, training institutes, post-secondary institutions and other stakeholders.

Working in close collaboration with the WUSC team in Kenya, the WUSC Advisory Team based in Canada and the Mastercard Foundation team, the DREEM Director will be responsible for overall project leadership, compliance and safeguarding, relationship management, external visibility and disseminiation of project learnings and team management.
