The mission of the Juarez University of the State of Durango, in harmony with its status as an autonomous public university, establishes that we are an Institution of Higher Education that participates socially in the integral formation of free and responsible, technically, professionally and scientifically competent persons; generates and applies knowledge with pertinence and ethical sense, to contribute to the development of the strategic areas of the region; establishes a solid link with the productive and social sectors; It also promotes and disseminates the culture to conserve and strengthen the local and national identity.

Vision

At the end of the 2013-2018 rectoral administration, the Juarez University of the State of Durango will be one of the best in the north of the country, with a sense of pertinence, good quality educational programs (from high school to graduate) and a broad relationship with the social and productive sectors, to contribute to the sustainable development of the state of Durango and the country.

In harmony with this vision, the characteristic features that will give identity to the UJED establish that it will be consolidated as the Maximum House of Studies of Durango; will have a dynamic and flexible academic model, guarantor of its institutional performance; will develop the substantive functions attending international quality standards, and local and national impact, will have an efficient and effective management at the service of the academy.
